Home sweet home....

I have tried a few times tonight to upload some pictures of Ian's birthday party, but I didn't have any luck. I will give it a go tomorrow and see if I am successful. Ian's party went great. He loved every bit of his "bug" party. He got lots of cool gifts and gift cards. The weather has been great here. We are planning on going swimming again tomorrow. My dad and Jeff finished the deck and they put in a little fish pond for me. Jeff must have been crazy from the heat....all I did was say it once and the next day it was done!!! I like that...I need to see if that will happen again.

Jeff leaves on Saturday and we are already sad. Ian and I have an additional 2 weeks left, but that will just fly by so fast. I have been at the dentist, doctor, hairdresser, and loads of other appointments the next 2 weeks. I also have poison oak on my face....I always like to make myself miserable while in the states. We are suppose to get pictures on Thursday...don't know about that yet.

I will post pictures tomorrow.

Itchy Ian.....

Isn't life funny??? I guess that is a loaded question....anyway..we are heading back to the states today and we are so excited!! I haven't got everything ready this time because I was going to send Ian to school and have those 2 hours of freedom...didn't happen!! I will make this to the point...Ian has the chicken pox...yes..thats right...chicken pox. I am glad about this...just the timing is a little off for this one. We are going ahead and flying..he feels fine, just a little itchy. I will keep everyone posted on this one....I will be home alot this next week.....
I did have to laugh because I have been staring at Ian because I just can't believe that he has these spots on him. He finally told me that I needed to stop because it was not polite to stare at people.

The weekend....

This weekend was a busy weekend. Blake Shoemaker celebrated his 3rd birthdsy on Saturday. The kids had a great time!! The adults had fun as well....lots of food, laughs, and great wine. Ian was soooo tired by the time we got home.

On Sunday the weather was great! We did some stuff around the house and than went to the park by our house. It was a bit crowded today. Ian is used to being about one of 4 kids on all the toys during the week. He still had a great time and got to show his dad how he rides on the wire ride...as he calls it.

I do have a funny Ian story...I was talking to myself...really I was just going over my list of groceries to make sure I had gotten everything. Ian asked if I was talking to him and I stated that I was talking to myself....I told him don't worry you won't do that...ever!! He explained to me he already does...I of course asked when....He than proceeds to tell me....like when you tell me to pick up my toys mom...in my head I tell myself...don't listen to her...don't listen to her....can you even believe that??? He is a little man!!

Ian had his 5th birthday yesterday....he loved it. We had it at our health club. I wasn't for sure if I made the right decision because he could only invite a certain number of kids....I made a great one...they had so much fun. Two workers did it all and took care of the kids while we parents did nothing!!! Thanks everyone for making his day so special.

I made a short album of the time we spent with Abe. I will post more pictures. Abe was a great guest...very easy and just did his own thing. I am happy to say that he GAINED weight while here....that is what every cook loves to hear. We had a great time in England and in Paris. The memories we made will be cherished forever. Abe is a wonderful friend to both Jeff and I....and Ian claims Abe is his best friend. He has already cried because Abe is gone!! I don't know what Abe will do without Ian waking him up every morning, begging him to sit in the back seat, wanting Abe to read to him, etc...maybe Abe will go home and REST!! Our friendship is a true gift from God...thanks Abe.
