She is really my daughter......

I admit she does look like me...but sometimes I wonder...what if a mix up occurred...usually this is about 3:00 a.m. and she is up for her fifth time of the night...but I always know that I would keep her!! I don't need to ask this question anymore..this is what I found her doing the other day....yep...that is my girl!! She loves it!! She goes around saying "sweep" which some may mistake for "sleep" but we all know my Jade...that word isn't in her vocabulary....

Well...actually it is...but she says "night night"....I will write more about this later...this is really blog worthy...I can't just use one paragraph to write about getting her to finally sleep...sometimes I even wake her up...I know..I know don't wake a sleeping baby...but after a 3 hour nap...I get nervous about the night time....more to come on that...

We can't believe it has been a year since we have been home...all the work on the house, the birth of Jade, and ALL the unpacking!!! I am still doing the house and unpacking...Jade is always on the move!! She is doing great!! Ian is doing great!! He loves school and all his friends at school and church. We are so ready for Spring to arrive....although...I am still doing organizing inside the house...I will be ready to get outside and work. My project was going great until I flooded the basement floor...don't ask!! Yep...I actually cried for about 3 minutes..yelled for about 2 minutes...than laughed and I am still laughing...stupid mistake on my part...but thanks to my WONDERFUL dad for helping me with the mess...I mean...lake!!
My parents are doing great also...they were suppose to head to Florida, but they canceled...they watched Amanda and Grant while my sister went to Hawaii...oh yea...Rob went also. I think the real reason they didn't go is Jade...yep..she has taken their hearts away...they are in awe of her. Everything she does...they talk about nonstop...I get sick of it and she is my kid. Jade loves them also..she goes around yelling "Johnny" or "John" all day long.



Jade finally moved up to a new carseat!! She has needed this for so long, but we finally found just the perfect one for her...she loves it!!!

Ian loves it now that Jade walks....they love to do this over...and over...and over again and again!!!

Jade goes into her room and poops in the corner...she like to hide...and yells "momma" when she is done...

Ian is still playing basketball. He really likes it...they have gotten so good. He can't wait to get our court set up this summer.

Amanda signed with the University of Illinois!!! She received a full ride to run track. She is so excited to go to college....I wonder when it will hit her...no one to do her laundry, cook her food, etc....we'll see!!

Ths problem at school.....

The above picture is what I found in the sunroom one afternoon..."What is wrong?" I asked...."Everything" replied Ian....ok this sounds bad.
After some questioning I find out the problem....nose picking!!!
Ian is NOT a nose picker..never has been...never will be...in fact, we have both thrown up before watching someone pick their nose at a stop sign...don't ask...we couldn't look away!!
Ian has a boy and a girl in his class that both are picking their nose and EATING IT!
The boy even sometime digs in his ears and licks his fingers afterwards...ok...this is just plain gross!! I got nothing for you kid....my advice...look away...don't let them touch your desk or pencil with their "snot" fingers..I am sending more wipes for this desk and hands....Ian than had his idea...he is going to offer them a wipe after they pick their nose or ears....ok...problem solved!!!
Ok...on to my next problem...why is Ian reading a Rifle magazine?? Just kidding..Jeff and Ian have been going over gun safety and rules for owning a gun.

Amanda FINALLY choose Univeristy of ILLINOIS!!!! I will post more after her signing ceremony...

Ian has started shaving...Santa gave him a kit and he uses it almost EVERYDAY!! He loves it...and is very serious about the whole thing. Well, Well...I am 2 or 2 looks like I have shut Holli and Stacey down!!!

It is official....

Jade can walk!!! She is standing up clapping and taking steps on her own. She does great during the day when we are alone...not so good when Ian is around...he runs up and grabs her because he thinks she is going to fall. Her top two teeth are coming in and she is sleeping ALL NIGHT...ok...I lied...she sleeps for about 3 hours at a time! UGH!!! Oh well, it is a phase of her life...I actually don't mind it...I think I have gone insane...we both have...Jeff is sooo sad she is getting her teeth in...that means she is growing up on us!! We always hear about young people having babies too early...this is what happens when you have babies late in life!!!
Oops I almost forgot...she talks!! She has said thus far...dad, mom, Abe, wow, and various other words after we say them...she won't say a word in front of anyone..only at home.
Ian started basketball this past Saturday...he made 2 out of the 5 baskets his team made..is he pumped?????.....well...NO!! Luckily...we are not into sports...he was more worried about his snack he was getting at the Bradley game vs. him scoring for his team...I guess that is good. He already told me that he will do this once and he is done...don't ask him again...it is not a fun sport...he likes tennis and really loves golf!!
I have a brand new camera!!! Where are the photos...in the camera. Jeff needs to load them...it is a professional one!! it is so cool...I love to hear the clicking of the camera and catching all the moments...too bad I haven't posted any...they are cute!!!

Ian thinks he is real funny!! I remember the days when no one could even touch this wig..and now..he doesn't care about it and this is what happens when I am not looking!! Jade has a lot of pay back coming for this one!!

**the wig came into play when I couldn't take him playing with my hair anymore...I went to France for the weekend and left him with NO hair..he was a BROKEN boy!! I came up with the wig idea and it worked...too bad that wig costed about $250.00...don't ask!!
